Darryl Rogers provides insight to OSU Knowlton School of Architecture graduate students

For the last few weeks, Darryl has been working with a group of graduate students from The Ohio State University – Knowlton School of Architecture. Darryl is assisting the students with a professional practice course case study on the project RKA completed for Mid-Ohio Foodbank.

Darryl Rogers judges 2012 Builders Exchange Craftsmanship Awards

For the second year in a row, Darryl Rogers lent his expertise to the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio as one of ten judges for the 2012 Builders Exchange of Central Ohio Craftsmanship Awards. The Craftsmanship awards recognize tradespeople who are key innovators and leaders in their fields, from electricians to masons. Winners are awarded based on “innovation, workmanship, and overall quality of the project.” Rogers Krajnak Architects extends its congratulations to the 2012 Craftsmanship Award winners.

Principal Darryl Rogers is currently in Chicago attending the Building Design + Construction Magazine (B D + C) Under 40 Leadership Summit. Invitees are past B D +C 40 Under 40 Honorees from the Architecture, Engineering, Construction industries nationwide.  Darryl received this honor in 2007. The Leadership Summit theme is “Creating with Clarity.”

Darryl Rogers, AIA, LEED AP provided a testimonial about the benefits of BX membership in the Exchange – the Newsletter of The Builders Exchange of Central Ohio. As a member of The Builders Exchange of Central Ohio, Rogers Krajnak Architects has been strengthening our relationships with other BX members in the construction industry. Darryl participates in an Idea Exchange Group that meets periodically to discuss prevalent issues within engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and other industry related representatives. Darryl Rogers, AIA, LEED AP interviewed in Country Living Magazine

In the May 2010 issue of Country Living Magazine, the official publication of Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, Darryl contributes his thoughts to the article “What’s ahead for homes – How the recession will affect choices in homes.” Darryl talks specifically about how sustainable design makes a house healthier, reduces its ecological impact, and reduces its energy consumption through the use of low VOC finishes, rapidly renewable and recycled materials, and controlled daylighting.

RKA Principal Speaks to Bexley School Students

Darryl Rogers spent an afternoon with the Cassingham Elementary fourth graders discussing the process of starting a business and being an entrepreneur. Darryl’s presentation included information to help the children understand the fundamentals of providing professional services, marketing and business development, and a review of Rogers Krajnak Architects’ experience and process. The children asked excellent questions during the Q&A session that followed.
