This project provides a new family room addition and a new exterior appearance for this Grandview Heights home. The structure's original siding will be replaced with new fiber-cementitious siding and trim. Dominant horizontal trim bands, exposed rafter rails and gable brackets will be added to enhance the Craftsman Style of the home and to visually relate the addition to the existing structure. The family room addition will have a new fireplace, built-in library shelving and large windows that provide views to the newly landscaped backyard and new patio. The patio will be defined with brick garden walls and wood trellis. A new custom designed wood fence will be constructed around the backyard to create a secluded, private setting.
