Bexley, OH
<< Back to Project List
RKA has previously completed numerous projects at this stately Central Bexley home. Our repeat Client asked RKA to lead a new project with the following scope; Kitchen renovation, new Family Room/Hall lighting, Second Floor Bath renovation, and Third Floor Bath renovation.

The Kitchen Renovation was guided by the Client’s goals to “make the Kitchen lighter, brighter and more open”. The former peninsula was removed and replaced by a new central island with white cabinets. New lightly colored quartz countertops and backsplash subway tile have been added, replacing the previous dark granite counters. New stainless steel appliances were integrated into the kitchen, including a french door oven, replacing the previous black appliances. New recessed LED ceiling lighting and new LED cove lighting was provided, which has made a major impact on the once dimly lighted space. The Client’s goals have been met with this Kitchen transformation.

RKA selected new track lighting for the existing cathedral ceiling Family Room space and the adjacent Hallway. The new LED track fixtures provide flexible lighting that can be easily modified over time. The new track lighting is especially successful in the Family Room, providing some up lighting to illuminate the sloped ceilings, and some downlight to illuminate the space below.

The Second and Third Floor Bath renovations focused on adding new custom designed vanity base cabinets and counters to the existing small baths to maximize storage capacity and freshen up the appearances of the spaces.
