This historic church, originally constructed in 1889, is a landmark in Thornville, Ohio, a small community east of Columbus. Rogers Krajnak Architects, Inc. was commissioned to provide Master Planning services to analyze the existing facility, develop the short-term and long-term programmatic space needs and create options for what will become the third major expansion of the facilities.
The expansion will be implemented in phases and includes selective demolition of portions of the existing structure and the construction of new administration offices, classrooms, fellowship hall, kitchen, restrooms and elevator. Renovations of the existing building include the expansion of the main lobby, sanctuary renovations and the updating of electrical and mechanical systems.
