Our client's goal is to create a unique home office space above the existing detached garage in the spirit of a traditional carriage house. This project involves the renovation and a stair/porch addition to the existing detached garage. The new stair addition to the south side allows access to the new second floor study space. This space was designed within the existing reconfigured attic storage trusses which provides a unique, sloped ceiling. New skylights and windows have been added to the space to add desired natural light and enliven the facade.
