Columbus Recreation and Parks Department commissioned RKA to design an addition to the North Bank Park Pavilion to accommodate the storage of tables, chairs and other supplies for various events. Prominently located in downtown Columbus along the Scioto River, North Bank Park provides a great venue for a variety of events. The design of the addition strategically integrates it with the massing, materials, and architectural characteristics of the existing Pavilion. The footprint of the addition was skewed from the alignment of the Pavilion in response to the topography and the angle of the riverbank. |
